What is a marc eau-de-vie (grape spirit)?
Marc is what remains of the grape after pressing: skins, pips and pulp. Carefully distilled, it produces an aromatic, warming eau-de-vie. Ours is made from the marc of our own Perroy estate, making it an authentic, artisanal spirit and a direct reflection of our La Côte terroir.
How should this marc eau-de-vie be enjoyed?
It is best savoured as a digestif, at room temperature, in a small tulip glass that concentrates its aromas. It pairs wonderfully with a coffee, a dark-chocolate dessert or a board of mature cheeses. To be enjoyed in moderation, at 43% alcohol.
How should a marc eau-de-vie be stored?
Store the bottle upright (not lying down, unlike wine), away from light and temperature variations. A spirit no longer ages once bottled: it keeps for a very long time without evolving, even after opening.
