Frequently Asked Questions

These are two red grape varieties created in Switzerland, at the Changins research station in the canton of Vaud. Bred from a cross between Gamay and Reichensteiner, they produce deeply coloured, structured and spicy wines that are especially well suited to the La Côte terroir. Our cuvée blends them to combine the power of Gamaret with the roundness of Garanoir.
Its structure and spicy notes call for generous dishes: a beef rib steak, a venison stew, a roast pheasant, a daube or a slow-cooked dish in sauce. In autumn, it is a wonderful match for game. It also pairs well with mature hard cheeses.
Serve it between 13 and 16 °C, ideally decanted for about thirty minutes to let its aromas develop. A structured wine, it has good ageing potential and gains in complexity after a few years in the cellar, but it can also be enjoyed with pleasure in its youth.
